For those that do payroll, you should understand. I was working on the W-2s for my 2 employees. The amount of medicare and social security withheld was different from the calculated amount - this is from rounding differences as they are added up through the year. TurboTax is well aware of this and has a checkbox so that you can overwrite the calculated values to correctly enter what was withheld and not get errors - and this is what I want to do because I want to report to the IRS what was withheld. However, the checkbox does not work to allow overwrite of the social security amount. So yesterday, they escalated the problem. However, today I get a phone call to just change the W-2 to match the calculated amount! That is unacceptable - you must report to the IRS exactly what was withheld. Last year's version was smooth enough (not the best experience in the world, but decent enough), but this year I can't even complete my K-1's to distribute to the LLC owners because the application continually hard crashes when filling out the business's information. We're not even talking about getting to the meat of the filing process--this is happening at the very beginning of the process. What adds to this frustration is that Intuit makes getting support difficult. I had to resort to using Twitter to attempt to get any type of help and they still haven't been very responsive or even touched...
